Mindful Ethics:
Professional Responsibility for
Lawyers in the Digital Age
Mindful Ethics, taught by Professors Scott Rogers and Jan Jacobowitz, integrates the study of legal ethics with mindfulness training. Through discussions of traditional ethical principles and contemporary issues such as social media, GenAI, and outsourcing, students develop a deeper understanding of the personal and interpersonal processes that shape ethical judgment and professional conduct. Students are also introduced to the neuroscientific foundations of mindfulness to better understand the mechanisms underlying attention, awareness, and decision-making.
